Where to find tack trunk lids? Question: I'm looking to replace the lid of my tack trunk. Any material would work- wood, vinyl, or metal. I can't seem to find anywhere that sells just lids, though? Question: like this http://www.allpar.com/images/neon-1995/back-of-neon.jpg Answer: the only place that has access to any decals or stickers that are stock are the dealers,they don't release the patent on any stickers to be reproduced for at least 15-20 years on most chrysler products,good luck. |

are the lights on the trunk lid of a 97 chevy cavalier supposed to come on? Question: i just switched trunk lids after mine was smashed and when i hooked the lights back up, i only have backup lights on the trunk lid. all of the other lights in the back work fine, i was just wondering if there were supposed to be running or brake lights on the lid or just backup lights only?? if someone has a car similar to mine, could you please check yours for comparison? thanks so much!!! Answer: from what i can tell theres only back up lights and break lights on the deck lid it self. the white lenses being back up and the red being break |

Is it okay to leave a plastic bend, dish rack, glass canisters with lids, 14pc caddy set in the trunk 4 days? Question: It would be so easy to leave it will be easy to move in on the28th to my new apt. Answer: yes it will be fine! Just make sure you dont have it loose when you drive so it will not break! |

How can i keep my trunk lid from vibrating? Question: I installed subwoofers in my trunk and the sound is causing the lid of my trunk to vibrate loudly and is irritating when i want to listen to loud music. Where should I go to get my trunk lid repaired? Question: The trunk lid on the back of my car does not stay up when I open it. The rod on the right side is slightly bent and I think that may be what is causing it. I tried bending it back myself but it didn't work. Where should I take it? Answer: You can go to any auto body shop or mechanic to have it replaced. Depending what type of vehicle you have and the type of rod you are talking about, usually they are painted hinges or shocks. If they are painted, and they do not come this way from the dealer or a different color from the junkyard, a body shop would be ideal. It is of course a same day repair if it does not have to be painted prior, and should be minimal depending the type of vehicle you have. Otherwise, any savvy car tech should be able to do the job. |

Can I attach a wire to my trunk lid to convert it into an antena? Question: I drive a 03 Chevy Cav. I was looking at the trunk lid and realize its all metal. If I took the wire that was connected to my antenna, and attached it directly to the metal on the lid would it act enough like an antena to pick up signal? I'm fairly certain the metal is some sort of steel since I can attach a magnet to it without trouble. Answer: Antennas actually have 2 conductors, one (coax shield) which is normally already connected to vehicle ground. If you connect the other conductor (center conductor in the coax), you'll create a short. Antennas are relatively cheap and you'll get better reception if you use one. |

How do you remove a honda civic 1998 ex coupe trunk lid? Question: I want to remove my trunk lid, and fix it, because it doesn't close right. Any sources will be appreciated along instruction. Thank you very much Answer: Remove the four 10mm or 12mm bolts that attach it to the hinges. Remove the wiring harness that provides power to the lamps in the trunk and wallah. If your trunk is not opening and closing properly, pulling it off the car will not solve anything. |

what do I need to stop a 1967 camaro trunk lid from falling? Question: We show our 1967 Camaro and I'm scared that someone is going to get hurt when the trunk lid falls. It will fall if a big wind comes by. It's done it before. Answer: carry a broom handle with you to prop it up. also there are long rods you can adjust and make it stiffer. there are different notches to put the rods in. |
