sub(s) & amp?? Question: i just got my first car today..well i pick it up tomorrow but i test drove it today! its a 98 ford contour with a nice body kit, spoiler, engine tune up, and some other cool things hahh. anyways, he already has a nice headunit in there and all the wires already are run back to the trunk. and he said that he had 2 10" kickers? and a 300watt amp and it shook the car! so i was wondering if anyone could get me a link or something to what they think he had..or something that will have really good bass. cuz i have no clue about stuff when it comes to the watts and amplifiers and all that. and then i guess i have to get a sub box too right? I am wondering how i could soup up my 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP.? Question: When I bought the car, it already had tinted windows, spoiler(stock), and sun roof. I bought myself a Satalite radio and a Subwoofer and an amp., thats about it, is there anything else I can do to soup up my little beast. I am pretty limited with my money, i only make like two hundred dollar every two weeks until i start my summer job again. Answer: A smaller pulley should be one of the LAST things you do, as it is the most dangerous and if you don't know what your doing, can blow your engine up in a hurry. You need to ask yourself what your final goals for the car are, that will help you figure out what performance mods you need and in what order. Here is what i would suggest for a starting point. 1. Cold Air Intake ($50-300) 2. 3" downpipe or headers ( $120 - 700) do not buy the downpipe if you plan on later buying headers, as headers usually come with a downpipe or use one diffrent then stock style) 3.Scanner/tuner ($100 - 500) - before you think about putting a smaller pulley on the supercharger you at LEAST need a scanner, preferably a tuner this will enable you to take your car out and scan for KR (knock retard (basicly your engine blow up gauge lol)). 4. now MAYBE a pulley ($50-100) - now you should be safe to put on a 3.5 or 3.4" pulley on the supercharger, but dont go full throttle until you have it on a scanner, scanning for KR. 5. High ratio rocker arms or performance camshaft (300 - 700) rocker arms are cheaper and easier to install, but the performance gain of a new camshaft is much greater. 6. Intercooler ($1,000) - One of the best mods you can do to your car. an intercooler will drop your supercharger temps buy a LOT and allow you to run a much smaller pulley. With cam and intercooler a 2.8" pulley should do nicely. At this point you should be pretty deep into the 12s and should start saving up for a new tranny. |

I have an Acura integra 98 thats red and i want to put a kit and some rims on it. any suggestions? Question: I would also like to include a stereo (2 subs new head unit amp and speakers) I would like to keep the stereo under $1000 and about $2500 for the kit and rims. thanks plus if you could find a spoiler like a racing spoiler not one of the silly paintable ones. or if there was a new color for the car. Just bought a 93 Civic Si Coupe. What can I do to it?I've only got about 3grand left to spend on it!? Question: It has a black exterior with a spoiler in good shape. Grey interior with black rear speakers added, a lot of black bezels added and a black pioneer deck, MTX thunder sub and an alpine amp. I have black GSR leather seats in the interior plus angel eye headlights. Also has GSR blades for rims. Please help me out. What would you guys do to it? Answer: Never no limit to what can be do to 93 Civic Si Coupe. Do all you want. Never no problem. It Honda. That all that do matter. Nothing better out there than Civic to custom. |

What to do with my honda? Question: hey i have a 99 civic coupe. i have a body kit, aftermarket lights underglow monster tach aftermarket seats, peddles shifter tints 18 inch rims and yokahama prada spec 2's i also have 2 twelves and a 1600 watt amp, i have 4-2-1 headers and an intake and sway bar, idk i also have a spoiler, but its not rice. i was just wondering if you guys have any idea what i should do next. ? Answer: Oh boy!!!!!!! My kid went thru that stage at 17 --- what a pain! he remembered I had a body shop when he was little (I thought he forgot) so guess what he had me do -- shaved door handles, trim removed, new engine and tranny, cat back, cold air intake, cams, wings west body kit, custom lamps etc, etc,etc,etc........ Then he came to his senses, sold it, went to collge, now manages a bank and drives a new Corvette ---- He lets me use the Vette - Yay! -------------- Shave the door handles and have them open with poppers.......... ALSO INSTALL under body neon lights -- Yeah yeah you might think those are lame but not the way I did it..... Raise the car up and paint the underside of the floor bright white where the neon tubes glow..... Then put 2 Tubes of neon on each side and 2 to 3 tubes up front and behind the rear bumper........ make sure they are tucked up..... The white will double the light reflected on the ground, if you have a side skirt on the body kit make sure its painted white under the backside (NONE of the white should show from the outside of the car........ His car was black -- when he flipped the neons on it was so bright it looked like the car was floating on an air of purple!!!! Like it was on a purple carpet.... You could see this car 6 blocks away with the purple --- try that!! Instead of people saying - look its a lame neon light under the car -- they instead said HOLY fershizzle -- look at that!!!! The brothers on the south side would say "Damn! Dats stupid bright!!!!" |

Fixing up my car? Question: I have a 2000 toyota avalon. It's white with a sunroof and spoiler. It's cute but not really the type of car that should be suped up. Still I would like to fix it up some. I've got the windows tinted and I'm getting nice speakers and an amp tomorrow. I'm not sure exactly what rims to get...chrome but I don't know what size. What are some other things I could do to supe it up (that would be okay on an avalon)? Forgot to mention leather interior. I wasn't planning on suping it up like a speed racer. Just wanted a few ideas to make it cute. Answer: Hey people, she is trying to make the car cute, not beat a Z06 in the 1/4 mile... it's not a waste if she likes it...dam....... Anyway the spoiler and pinstripes is a good idea, you can get tailight covers, 3rd brake light covers that say anything..... decal graphics on ebay..... Neon light bars if your into that..... on the insdie you can get....steeringwheel covers, seat covers that have anything on them, hearts...flowers...bubbles.... floor mats with the same stuff. My wife did her 2001 beetle up with seat covers, steering wheel cover, license plate frame, floor mats all the same blue flower patterrn, it looks good for a female's beetle. |

If I jot down a passage from the Bible on my car repair bill about compassion, will the repair man have mercy? Question: Granted, I'm getting some 24k gold-plated spinnaz, mirror tint, a phat spoiler, and a new Bose™ stereo system with Infiniti™ speakers and a Sony™ amp, plus four Rockford Fosgate™ 12" subwoofers, but surely this God-fearing car repair man will have mercy and not charge me for his parts and labors?? Answer: The mechanic down the street from me puts a little fish on the bottom of his handbills, so he apparently thinks that being a Xian should get him customers, so why not? Just draw a little fish on the repair bill and see what happens. |

Pontiac Grand Am with subs? Question: Ok so i got a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE2 with spoiler, monsoon audio, the rims, you name it. Im getting two 12" MTX 5500's with a 600 watt amp running 300 to each sub. The question is, how bad is it going to rattle? Answer: i have a 01 Grand Am that hits 137.6, and it rattles pretty bad. standing outside, it sounds like sh*t. however, inside, there is really very little rattle. its weird. unless you listen to your music outside the car, i wouldnt worry too much about it. good luck |
