Old Tonka trucks and other vintage toys? Question: I've researched a little on ebay and what not about what Tonka trucks and other metal toys (fire trucks, tractors, etc) are worth but I see a lot of variations in prices. What on average could you get for one? Specifially I have 4 large ones. All metal from the 80's I believe. Answer: Around $55.00 each would be a good price. |

New movies on Betamax and other vintage formats? Question: How come a small quantity of all the new movies aren't still released on the old vintage technology? It would be awesome to watch Transformers on Betamax or even VHS for pete's sake! The latest album on cassette or 8 track would also be a good idea. I think there would be a good market for something like this. What do you think? What is the gaming console that allows you to play N64, Sega, and other vintage games on the same machine? Question: I've heard about this integrated game system that will play three or four kinds of old games including Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis -- can't seem to find more info. Can you buy a P40 Warhawk or any other vintage war plane? Question: I like old war planes, can you buy one, and if so how much do they cost. also could i just buy a replica and how much. Answer: Yes, you can buy any old military plane that has been demilitarized and is no longer in service. Problem with many of the old planes is that they are becoming increasingly harder to find and those that have them are not wanting to get rid of them. Many old military planes (prop planes and jets included) usually end up in a scrap heap instead of being sold to collectors. Good luck with your quest, the best place to look for them is military museums. Those that own these planes are a tight knit group and most usually know when another person is selling a vintage war bird. Remember that most of these planes (esp the P40) are hard to find, repair and replace so expect a very large price tag. |

Good vintage or other stores in New York? Question: I'm going to New York in August. Does anyone know any good stores for clothing (maybe vintage or something that you can't find in every city of the world)? Also, do you know any cheap but good places to eat? There's a vintage store called Reiminscece (sp?) right off the corner of 23rd Street and 6th Avenue (almost right next door to an Outback Steakhouse) that sells clothing, vintage toys, etc. I hope I helped! |

Does anyone on Yahoo Answers collect Imperial Glassware or other vintage glass? Question: I collect Imperial Glass that has the "Iron Cross" mark. I also collect Fostoria "American". Where I live is only 20 minutes from both of these former glass houses. I was just curious to see if anyone shared this hobby. Answer: Yes, I have an extensive collection of vintage glassware--a bit of Imperial glass (figural pieces), carnival glass, sandwich glass, Fostoria Americana pieces, depression glass of all sorts, shapes and sizes from trays down to cups and saucers and some Early American Pressed glass. |

Where is a good place to buy vintage cameras, other than ebay? Question: So I have just gotten fed up with ebay snipers outbidding me at the last second. I refuse to use the sniping program because it is unfair. I love old cameras and love collecting them, not so much for the dollar value but because I enjoy looking at them and using them. I live on an island where there really aren't any antique stores or thrift stores. I often browse Shopgoodwill.com and Keh.com. Marshall/ other vintage looking amps whats the best one for the buget? Question: ive heard the marshall mg guitar amplifier half stack with mg100hdfx head and mg412a cabinet is a good deal but is not tubed, so whats the best thing i cam get for my money?
