how do U make pillows out of crib bumpers? Question: ive heard/read that U can make pillows of the crib bumpers.when out of crib N 2 a bed. has anyone heard/know how? i used a vintage set and want to use it with her toddler bed.(skirt,sheets,comforter all fit the bed &hav rug &curtains) with the same decor. the Nsides of the bumpers are chenille & want to use on pillow if can. Answer: try putting a seam and then another seam one inch away.... then use sissors to cut them apart... You will have a pillow and ready to make another one.... |

I saw a vintage VW Super Beetle today. Everything was mint, except the bumper. While it was mostly chrome? Question: it also had rust stains. Am I correct that this is caused by 'oxidation?' And how can it be restored? Answer: Sanding and polishing. |

Can I replace the fenders of my Volkswagen Beetle with those of an older model? Question: I want to give my 1970 Volkswagen Beetle a more vintage look. The stock bumpers and fenders (the humps above the wheel well) I would like to replace with those of some of the earlier models, i.e. the chrome bumpers from the early 60's -67's models and the earlier fenders which have a horn grill beneath the headlight (So the horn can be better heard, I guess.) These choices are purely aesthetic for me, but are there any unforeseen risks in mixing and matching parts from these models? I know Volkswagens underwent minor changes during their rule of the roads, but would these changes work, or would they simply cause problems? I'm searching for a hanging protective bumper to put in garage to prevent? Question: anything from rubbing up against my vintage car (AKA kids). I have in mind a bumper that hangs from chains that protects the whole side of the car. Does such an item exist? Answer: try buying some "fender" in a boat store.................it`s the stuff they put on the sides of a moored boat to prevent colliding or scratching other boats moored in the port. check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_%28boating%29 i hope it helps you as it did to me. .................oh,and if you have some more cash to spare,buy the corresponding fender cover.it`s a very smooth cotton cover for more paint protection. |

Weather like this, don't you want to take the top down and cruise? Question: ...in that sparkling '57 Chevy Convertible. Chrome bumpers. Skirts. 283 engine. etc. Find a blonde with long flowing hair, sit her in the passenger's seat, and tear down the boulevard! If not a blonde, then a brunette. I know I'm dreaming, but what if we didn't have to go through Vietnam and Iraq, and instead all of us drove around in 1957 Chevy Convertibles, and with gorgeous weather like this, cruise just for the fun of it. Does your head turn when you see one of these vintage beauties on the road? Can you dig their design? How about the '59 Chevy with the Tear drop tail lights? Maybe a 1960, that was a beauty too. I'm so into vintage automobiles, I'm ready to go to some shows now...now that the weather is getting wonderful. Just dream along with me for awhile, close your eyes and imagine that car you drive was one of these. What do you think? (Can't find a blonde or brunette? How about a long haired dog?) Answer: Dream if you want. I preferred a Corvette, not a new one but a convertible that's about 20 yrs old. Parts are easier to find and it's lower to the ground. You're right...today was "top down weather." |

It is also used to refer to cannabis. The term "Granola" is occasionally used derisively by some political Conservatives to describe Liberals as being mostly "fruits, nuts and flakes". Answer: cool another nice one, couldnt help but notice that once agian your overwhelming distaste for society though |
